We apply the mental aspects of Taekwondo to educate and teach people how to find harmony in their lives. Taekwondo has been practiced for thousands of years,

teaching a wide range of age groups how to protect themselves and how to manage their lives through a more peaceful tradition. Our Taekwondo instructors can teach adults techniques to relieve stress and create a healthier lifestyle. These are just a few of the benefits that you can learn at our academy. Taekwondo can also help children in their daily life by teaching them how to focus better and gain confidence.

At Champions Taekwondo Academy we incorporate all of these life lessons in a peaceful and fun environment. Through the instructors at our Taekwondo academy, our students learn respect and discipline on a whole new level that they will enjoy and carry into their adult lives. The Name

The name Taekwondo is derived from the Korean word "Tae" meaning foot, "Kwon" meaning fist and "Do" meaning way of. So, literally Taekwondo means "the way of the foot and fist". The name Taekwondo, however, has only been used since 1955 while the arts' roots began 2,300 years ago in Korea. Known as a martial art and way of life, the evolution of Taekwondo was a direct result of the happenings in Korea long ago, and knowledge of the history is an important step in understanding Taekwondo.
